Ellie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who discovered her passion for working with individuals with intellectual disabilities in 2010 when she began providing free tutoring services to adolescents with autism. She went on to receive her undergraduate degree in Communicative Disorders for Speech and Language Pathology with an interest in working with individuals on the autism spectrum using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Devices. Ellie began working as a Behavior Technician, after obtaining her undergraduate degree, with children and adolescents diagnosed with autism and she quickly fell in love with the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Within months Ellie decided to pursue a graduate degree in ABA, from which she graduated with in 2017 along a certificate in autism.
Ellie has experience working with individuals of many different ages and disabilities. It brings her joy to work with a client for the long term allowing her to see the baby steps of progress a client is making. She seeks, daily, the good in what others often view as a “sea of bad news” which has taught her the value gratitude over the past several years she has been interacting and working with those with physical and developmental disabilities.
